Well its Hockenheim next - that can go badly wrong if you get the wrong dice rolls.
Imagine how the games go over a 3 lap race. Suddenly all those limping along to stay alive become contenders...

“There will be no team orders” declared Bernie Ecclescake as the Formula D circus trundled into Valencia and after a dreary qualifying session, where Zwei took poll, the capacity crowd hoped race day wouldn’t be equally lacklustre.
Except for Zwei’s ruthlessly efficient drive, leading from start to finish, the race didn’t disappoint with a cacophony of collisions during lap 1. First corners don’t win races but third corners certainly can end them; especially when team mates get physical. “There was no inappropriate touching’ claimed Satu in the post race interview, “The f*****g b*****d rammed me off the race track” was Dua’s view of the incident; less than half way into lap 1 Pasukun Kecil only had one car remaining in the race.
Punishing on tyres, brakes and engines the circuit soon became festooned with broken bodywork; as in previous races Grupo Lego’s Building Block V8 needed substantial rebuilding during the pit stops with engineers frantically gluing plastic bricks onto damaged nose cones. Singletons car disintegrated, leaving him sat upon the track holding a steering wheel as the other cars race past; his TT Racing team mate retiring earlier due to break failure thanks to the tracks abrasive forces. Zwei took the chequered flag, with Satu second and F.Fireball taking the last podium spot despite his best attempts; the Team Power!! car being pushed to its limits and beyond. When asked for his driver of the Day Kimi Räikkönen informed viewers, live on air, “I don’t know, I didn’t see it, I was having a s**t”.

Hockenheim
“Crash, bang, what a third corner!!!” declared Bernie Ecclescake despite the races inauspicious start, the only drama being F.Fireball being less of a blaze of glory and more a whimpering flicker by stalling on the grid. The cars paraded through the first two corners then all hell broke loose when Kobicrashay decided that firstly brakes, then tyres then his car were all superfluous to his afternoons enjoyment. Screeching into the hairpin in a haze smoke and shredded rubber he lost control, span and then collided with both Dau and Wildstyle leaving the Team Power!!! car with less wheels than a unicycle.
This was, unsurprisingly, fatal for Kobicrashay’s race, not even the late great Ayton Senna could nurture a car back to the pits with no wheels. On track the battle for places was fierce and after the pits stops it was a three car race until Wildstyle got distracted by the sight of Kimi Räikkönen in the crowd and narrowly avoided crashing, her second corner being a clash of groaning gears and squealing brakes leaving Singleton and Dau in the hunt for the podium top spot.
Taking advantage of her teammates sloppy driving Unikitty slipstreamed into third place then, with a daredevil display of driving, took second in a dramatic last corner, overtaking Dau as Singleton comfortably claimed the chequered flag. Further down the field cars fought for points with Satu storming into fourth place, followed Wildstyle and Doubleberry drag racing up the home straight after exiting the finial corner neck and neck; the finial finisher was F.Fireball, having never recovered from the start line stall.

..and Chicago hosted the annual Formula D Racing and Skating competition last night. Singleton on pole and his team mate flat last with the field spread fairly evenly between them and the rain tipping down out of the sky.
Two cars stalled on the start and this was a message of the race to come. Slytherin so much it was like Harry Potter was at the wheel a fair amount of carbon was left on the course. Corner 3 turned into the crash zone with a Team Power!!!! vehicle taking a safe entry and wiping out its compatriot. Pasukan Kecil took over the lead and headed off with both TT Racing in hot pursuit. Grupo Lego steadily lost ground throughout the lap with throttle issues clearly leaving them poorly placed at several corners.
On the backfield some imaginative timing and massive acceleration saw Singleton soar past the field and roar into the distance. Acceleration down the back straight saw a major gearbox fault and short shifting down through the final hairpin barely saw the vehicle into the pit for a reboot of software and out again as the rest of the field caught up and the race was live again.
Pasukan Kecil drivers briefly retook the lead around the 3rd corner again but Singleton again placed his car well to take advantage of small gaps to race off with Telemetry showing his car in higher gears than others managed through the backfield of the course. His Pasukan opposition unfortunately did not have enough left in their cars frame to hold of the second TT Racing driver leading to a 1-2 finish for the team, with one Pasukan finishing in the peleton with the remaining Team Power!!! driver who had skillfully pushed through to a decent finish and a Grupo Lego car. The second Pasukan car had struggled for the last lap with little tolerance left in its structure and came through next with the last slot being filled by Grupo Lego who brought both cars home for the bonus point.
(PS anyone who wants to do an AAR for the previous race at Hockenheim can edit up one of their previous posts to slot it in in order!)
For the next race the FD circus goes to Singapore!

I arranged to play Peter at his copy of that Star Wars game you've got so unless he can't make it or you can persuade him to join in Formula D then it'll have to be next time instead.
