That was a really fun game mate! Lots of carnage and future games will go much quicker as we won't be discussing the rules as much. :-)

That sort of went well. Shame about missing that touchdown, but not bad for a first go.
I can see that the control of damaged players is going to be vital for series.

Yes starting off with a bit of money left in your treasury and at least 1 reserve player is a good place to start a team in I'd say. And you do still have plenty of options and time to tweak your roster before you start properly.

Indeed! The Ratogre certainly gave me pause for thought on the line of scrimmage!
When I finally did get him on the ground I put the boot in and broke his collar bone which would have lost him a point of strength and taken away his worth had it not been a practice game. Which also highlights the importance of an apothecary.

True about collarbone, but i did manage to kill outright one of yours. Which was nice ;-)
Cant remember what the other Orcs were off the pitch with , but i think there was at least one 'miss next game '.
Can see clearer the issue with the big fellow now, being unreliable and so expensive, but he is fun and a big worry for the other team.
Made two mistakes on that turn. Should not have risked the GFI at all, or not until i had repositioned rest of the team. And should have backed up the RatO by blitzing one of the foulers and breaking the ring putting the boot in.
Really did not make best use of my gutter runners enough/correctly. So would like to try an Ogre free team. Anyone up for an other practise game sometime ?

Rat Ogres are pretty reliable for Big Guys - Wild Animal should not in general be being used at anything higher than 1 in 6 risk if running a skaven team. Stick this boy into the line and leave him there raging. Only move him on a blitz. As an aside may I offer up the following good tactics site - covers teams, player types within teams and suggested starting rosters. It may be a little LRB5 heavy in places to do watch for those little specifics that differ from our LRB6 version particularly on older comments bbtactics.com/

I'll do a practise game next week if you want. I would like to try a Lizardman team build out so an exhibition match would be ideal

Hmmmm tasty lizard stew. :-)
That will be great to get an other practice game.
I have been going through the web sites and reading up, but putting theory into practice is an other thing. Still want to have a rat ogre though.

That would free me up for a few other options and I haven't had time to put together the lizardman team beyond concept (though it would be 5 mins to do it) - and to be fair cruel but true a Skaven player needs to know what its like to face dwarves....

I don't have a Rulebook or a board (ones been ordered) so could we borrow those?

I'll have my iPad with the PDF on it - I think there is a printed copy of the rules with Chris and Dan usually brings his board.
I have a board on my Christmas list and will purchase one if it doesn't appear, so in the New Year there will be two available on request.
