OK, who's up for "Dragon Rampant" on Monday?
I can bring some spare armies for people to borrow.

Up for that. Any thoughts on activations with oversize forces ? Maybe split into two forces each .

Well. That was something of a shambles. Lesson from this is that making units "undead" doesn't necessarily work out for high-value units. They don't benefit from the morale thing but the rounding-up of hits is "messy"...
Works out better on the basic skelly-type figures...

Well I thought it went rather well.
Bone men all go crunch crunch.

Having two warbands was ok to handle and worked well. Three might be more of a struggle (for me at least). Maybe have only 18 points each on the flanks and 24 in the centre if we do a full field engament at some time
Liking this rule set more each time.

Indeed, it was a glorious day for the NMRA. Photos didn't really come out very well.
I am no cronicler but will make such modest endevor as one may.
The Brittle Bone Brigade having made incursions into the lands of the NMRA were halted at a small farmstead amongst wooded hills.
The sky was as cold and grey as cast iron, with a sharp Northwest wind , occasioned by sleet. To the east the land elevated to thickly wooded hills extending to the North. Below the hills, and following their line to the North were large dry stone walled pastures of good structure so as to contain the thick coated hill cattle of which this region is noted.
The farmstead 'DunMilkin' lay some distance West of the walled pastures. This having created a clear North/South corridor bisectting the ground would prove of no great import in the day's events.
The farmstead itself was of sound stone structure and was backed to the south and west by further thick woodland.
Having surveyed the land , Bloodtooth did set his forces to make best use of what was on offer. Having his command in two wings he set a force of heavy foot from both in the central corridor. To either side of these he did set his missile troops. To the left, under his own command, was a unit of elite crossbow guard. Over to the right he placed his Jezzail gunners, being most careful to protect their powder from the inclement conditions.
Further to the left was a heavy force of Rat Ogres and fierce bellicose rats. Mirrored on the right flank by more bellicose rats backed up by a wizardling.
The bone men were to the North arrayed with bone chariots in the canter, archers and necromancers to their left, and on their right was a most heavier force including a flying horror.
Come the hour Bloodtooth stood his ground. The heavy infantry standing shoulder to shoulder in the corridor whilst the left flank made some advance to the woods below the farm.
As those without eyes can not, so did the chariots did not perceive the trap that lay ahead. Charging down the corridor towards the shieldwall of the clan rats, they came under a withering fire from both left and right. It was but a matter of minutes for all that was left to be wreckage and fleeing horses.
With the center secure, the right flank on hold, Bloodtooth turned his attention fully to his left. The woods being no impediment to his ogres and great rats, and now being backed by the Elite guards, quick work was made of it. By the afternoon the entirity of the Bone men's left had been destroyed. Not one was left standing.
With daylight starting to fade and the weather turning for the worse attention was pushed to the last of the Bone men. Some attempts were made to push through the woods to make gains against the archers. Their position was strong and only minor gains were made at some cost.
At close of day the field was held by the NMRA. Routed units would be reconstituted back up to full strength. But for the Bone men, it was back to the dirt for all that fell.

Maaaaaartians....
I've got enough stuff for 2x24pt of Martian warmachines but only 1x24pt of British. I've got some Prussians which could be painted up to ally with the Brits and would make another 24 points including Fliegerjagers.

Well played then Chris. Looks like the NMRA are well and truly consolidating their hold on the eastern shore.
What rules are you using for the Martians Katie?

Martians are Dragon Rampant as well...
Walkers are heavy riders, riflemen are Light Missiles, HMGs are Heavy Missiles &c
While compiling this stuff, I was wandering about the forums and there is an opinion that the undead-rounding-up rule is only supposed to apply to hand-to-hand combat... it does specifically say "Attack" dice in the text. That might have cut down the... erm... cutting down...
