Hammerin Iron is Peter Pig's ACW ironclad set. I will be running a game or two in the coming weeks and was wanting to gauge interest.
It works well with 1-2 players per side as you can share ships if you wish so I can accommodate 1-4 other players.
A battle consists of ship lists (which I have prepared based on my collection of 1/600 vessels) of 6 ships per side and a fort. We have a few icons in the mix - Monitor and Virginia for example plus tin/cottonclads and wooden ships. Only the defender will get to use their fort and the attacker tends to get more of their ships quicker. Not all of the defender's ships will get on the board. There's always a couple fo objectives for the attacker to sack for VPs and the game has a timer clock to get to a conclusion (players can try to interfere with the clock running by speeding it up or slowing it down).
Game is played on a hex grid as basic rules (and that's what I use).
SO anyone up for it...first game is next week and I have one slot taken already.
