OK, I've finally got enough figures painted. Who wants to try this out? It's sci-fi, very tabley-ruley, D20s. All the stuff is online at www.fysh.org/~katie/wargames/downloads/kryo/ -- the rules and expansion are free; I've processed them into logical chunks (the books have fluff, rules, lists and art all interleaved). I've got NEXUS SWAT (power armour) and the Kryomek (Tyranidy-aliens) done. (In the painting queue are heavy power armour, slave infantry, light marines, several versions of cybernetics and somewhere I have a couple of the AT-ST-like walkers. Rebel humans too!)

OK, this game is bonkers.
I vote for more of it!!
(It's bonkers with just aliens and power armour marines. There's corporate troops ad rebels and space dwarves, ED209s, Cylons, Terminators, AT-STs, Hovertanks with Howitzers and convict troops in the rules!!).
We need some tokens that aren't in the basic set so I'm going to go draw some. And those aliens with the sporeball launchers are A Bit Handy.
I might think about order some of the spiffy alien APCs to charge people around the table in.

Hello! I'm coming in hot from the Scotia Grendel forum (also MrSpaceman) to make sure I get a game of this at some point. I've never been to this club, but if there's Kryomek, I'm there. Currently, I have an evening class on Mondays, but that finishes next week; the week after that I've got a Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay date (I'm a busy geek), but from the 10th of April onwards, things can be negotiated.
Unfortunately, most of my Kryomek models were lost years ago, but I have a Warrior alien, a Warmaster alien's head, a Talos cybernetic unit and a convict in an environmental suit. I'm thinking of collecting again, however...

The Kryomek PDFs in the link are good! I like your extra rules!
I didn't realise that some of these boxes of figures had rules on them (cf., "Predator Marines" PDF). I had a box if Interdict Marines, but I don't remember stats. I think I still have the box, although not the figures.

So, there's been no word on it, but any thoughts on a game of this next week? I guess it's up to Katie?
I'll plan to pop down anyway to at least check out what goes down at your club. Maybe there'll be something I can join in on?

I was exhausted so I went to sleep instead.
I can make the effort next week if there's opponents.
I'll stop painting HYW and go back to the Marines and see if I get enough done to be useful.

Woop woop! I'll definitely be there if there's a chance of some Kryomek. It's been ages...perhaps over twenty years! I've been recently re-reading the fluff, but I can have a look at the rules again. I read through them a year or so ago and they seemed really straight forward. I think, Katie, your cheatsheet will help a lot.
So, we might have some Nexus SWATs, perhaps some marines, and some Kryomeks? I'll make sure I read those bits.
If the games a goer at this club, I might try and pick up some models and restart my collection. Perhaps the Talos army which annihilated the Nexus forces during "The Karanada Incident" (hehehe...I love the fluff, I think it might be helped by healthy doses of nostalgia)?
What's the story with terrain/scenery? Is there a lot associated with the club already, or should I try building some bits? I have some Mantic stuff that needs to be put together (actually I'm planning to build Cannibal Sector 1 for SLA Industries...that's another game and another thread) and some yoghurt pots which make quite good silos, but could do with some work.

"Woop woop!"
You might be overselling this to yourself.
"What's the story with terrain/scenery?"
There is some.
"four of us"
Oh dear.
I've found the part-painted marines and the paint scheme record; I just have to work up enthusiasm.

However, you don't have to worry yourself with the marines: SWATs versus aliens sounds grand.
