That was a good fun battle and it certainly seems that numbers make a big difference. I believe Rory has a gang on its way. What happened to the cow? Did it live? The cow held the field!

Just a thought to even up the numbers issue.
Your only allowed one Juve per other rank.
But as we are only starting with £500 to start with maybe increase to 1.5 per other rank or let the leader cover for 2 or juves.

Hmmmm that's a good idea but I think we ought to get a few more games in 1st to see if it evens out as you had an income issue at the end as you had few gangers and lots of juves.
So if your people keep getting picked off and you can't afford to replace them then the numbers might even out eventually?

OR do one of many other horrible things. Grenades, drugs heavy weapons, even hire a wyrd. Juves really are horribly bad. WS and BS of 2 is dire.

I was thinking it might make it a little easier for other gangs that start later and have to face more experienced opponents.
Juves are cheap and level up fast though.

There is a payout reward for fighting higher rating gangs. You get a good sized EXP boost if there's a large difference. If you win, its even bigger. And one answer to that is loads of juves and swamping the enemy (apart from the Combat Master guy with a power sword and normal sword, the you don't swamp him.) If you get stomped on the first two or three games, then its time for a grudge!

I'm up for a game at any time by the way, looks like the terrain you guys sorted is perfect for the job.

That was a fun and surprisingly bloody game last night! Call me Scurve, for 'tis my name, such as I have borne since since that terrible day we made planetfall among the death-limes of Abraxas Tertius and my soul was seared with citric nightmares until the end of my days. I bore my fallen comrade through the chemical haze which shrouds our lodgings in Scrag End, to Sister Calumnia's Chirurgery where his body might be laid to rest with the respect it deserved.
"Twenty credits, love, and you'll have to help me getting the eyes out" said the good Sister, after I had shaken Handy's body free of the Stevedore's Ensign* which served as his shroud. As I, able spacefarer for many a long year, veteran of a dozen campaigns wavered over Handy's noble features. As I readied the spoon, I felt the sorrow wash over me and remembered that mortal hour when he fell... You see strange things down the Underhive. I can't rightly recall if there were cows in that pen, but it seemed worth fighting over at the time. Them Delaques had holed up in a ruined tenement building out on the edge of the sector and the skipper sent Widdershins and I round to the larboard flank. Two bald fellers in extremely convincing synth-leather trenchcoats cast off from their base and we moved to intercept them. Smart as you like, Widdershins and I set up a kill-zone while the skipper led the other lads to storm the enemy citadel. When the Delaques hove in sight I drew a bead on the tallest one. He was hauling more firepower than the other, and I knew he'd cause us trouble if he lived. I opened fire and caught the bald lubber right between the eyes. Laser bolt drilled right threw him and he was in the dust. Widdershins fired off a few lasbolts and sent the smaller Delaque cowering for cover behind . A volley of curses told me Widdershins had a mishap but I was sure he could finish the little feller off and moved to lay down some cover for the boys to starboard.
The skipper, Handy and Spanner charged from one of the outbuildings, guns blazing. Their fire mostly went wide, as the Delaques were hidden in the burned-out tenement and fired off a salvo of laser fire. Spanner fell on his face blubbering like a stowaway on his first encounter with the cat. Handy's laspistol coughed and one Delaque crumpled behind his makeshift breastwork, and Gentleman Jonas himself was bellowing for the attack and waving his sword about like a suicide case. I'll never know what happened to The Lash that day, but he has funny turns. The Emperor sees all and he has no illusions about the likes of us.
I shot at one of the Delaques at the window and he ducked away. Another shot from the tenement knocked Handy off his feet and I wasn't to know it then, but he was dead in moments. Gentleman Jonas hauled Spanner upright and between them they laid down enough heat with their shooting irons to put the fear of the Great Enemy into 'em and send 'em packing. Widdershins told me afterwards that he had defeated ten Delaques with his bare hands while we weren't looking, but his hands were far too steady for it to be the truth.
I left Sister Calumnia chewing her gums with a heavy heart and a heavier pocket. Poor Handy. Signed on for a round trip back to Bakka, all platinum and no tears, and perished among the worst of humanity in this blighted place. I would head back to the Fouled Trident and drink an extra pint of fungus beer in his name that night. Just one more job, said the Skipper, and we can pull the Ouroborous out of hock and get back to riding the space lanes. I miss the stars down here.
*Stevedore's Ensign: a hemp sack. Battlefleet Tempestus, M39.

Excellent report . The Bovril war continues
So who else could be up for throwing their hat into the ring? Just need a motley crew, and put them on the table.
