Dear all,
I am looking for volunteers to test my homebrew ruleset for the Mid 19th Century, "A Hell of a Towelling", using Crimean War troops. Scale is roughly divisional level (for what that is worth in the period). The game is grid based and will be easy to set up and fast play.
I intend to bring the kit in throughout April and May for anyone historically minded who is at a loose end, please let me know if interested!

A very useful workshop on Monday. Some discussion provoked on command & control led to a variation on the card system which produced a much superior game on the second playthrough. The second game saw the use of cavalry screen, preliminary bombardment and successfully demonstrated the effect of rifled muskets and artillery.
Some additional tweaks may be necessary but this system works for the mid 19th century and we also discussed taking it forward in time past 1870. I am looking to prep troops for the Crimean War, Franco-Austrian war and if I have the spare change, the French intervention in Mexico 1862-67, so let me know if you fancy any of the above.
