Well, the forums now appear to be being picked up some by Search engines....we are on the first page of hits for searches with the terms 'cambridge city games' and 'cambridge games club'
We however fail currently on 'cambridge wargames club' and 'cambridge games forum'.
So visibility is now starting to occur. I might tweak a few of the descriptions and see if that generates better visibility

Had a word with Chris, who is most experienced with it - so he said he can help out on the running the game front and he will bring a few armies as well so we might get more than one game going with enough player interest.

If you are new to this then we an see if we can get another person involved to help walk you through the prcoessing of the game assuming you want that and they are around that week. Its been done before (for me for the first of my 3 games of FoG amongst a number of others) and from my experience it helps if someone gives you a rough idea of points of advantage vs impact vs melee and all....

Right, slight pre-empting a new forum member but could any FoG players sing out here with a list of what armies they have as this is the game that has raised potential interest... Anyone not committed to a game in the next couple of weeks and could step up to give Ali a game?

OK so some may not use this site, and some may be unaware of it. In terms of boardgames, to an extent RPGs and moving into computer games this site is a massive resource. www.boardgamegeek.comIf anyone wishes to share their GeekID then do so here..... Mine is myrm www.boardgamegeek.com/user/myrm

Yes - Im away for a week which takes out 1 and ahalf weekends - but I assumed that there would be either enough other dates or enough other people to make it worthwhile.
We do need to get something sort of nailed down or else we get to a few weeks away and everyone has organised something else.

I was toying with the idea of breaking out my old set of Car Wars for a bit of Autoduel mayhem....
Rock around the USA in post-apocalyptic technicals - Ma Deuce and her apple pie.....
I plan to design a selection of vehicles for players so they don't have to worry about that. Each will be themed to provide a variety of aspects of the game and styles of play and there will be more than there are players (and I guess 2 could take the same set up if they really really want).
However - who would be interested - Im looking for a total of 4-6 players. Once we have interested bodies then I'll arrange a week to do it.

We'll see you on the 17th then - just to be sure that you know, there is no meeting on the 10th as the owners of the buidling need to use it.
