It was fun and I personally rate it higher than Talisman.

So I was saying that the new Specialist Games so far has produced only games using existing set of models at high prices. And suddenly this appears: www.bloodbowl.com/New Blood Bowl with (correct me if I'm wrong) new models, decals and stuff.

Let me just quickly list the board game titles that came out from GW recently: - The Horus Heresy: Burining of Prospero - The Horus Heresy: Betrayal at Calth - Warhammer Quest: Silver Tower - Deathwatch Overkill - Assassinorum: Execution Force - Lost Patrol - Stormcloud Attack Yes, they call the department Specialist Games. And everyone is happy that Epic might be coming back. All I see though are board games with the 40k/AoS models included. Terribly overpriced board games.
Edit: That might have came out a bit rude. What I meant to say is that I too was looking to Specialist Games being revived with good hopes. I would love to play Battlefleet Gothic. But looking at the content they produced so far I would say that all they are doing is either creating games that are there to increase the sales of their main products (40k, AoS), or selling poor selling models under disguise of a board game. It seems therefore to me that ending license with FFG was a move from GW to reduce competition with their board games.

Maybe GW where charging too much so FF just said no? As far as I know it was GW that did not renew the license, FFG was happy with paying the price. It seems exactly what Tim has said: GW re-opened board games department and they probably don't want to have competition.

Very nice. I have progressed somewhat with the assembly of M1's. Waiting for siligum and greenstuff for the finishing touches.

Yesterday the Baron led a heroic defense against majority of a Scottish Highlander division successfully stalling enemy advance. In the mean time Captain Kermitto Farfalle led a successful charge of elements of an elite Italian light infantry company straight into the heart of enemy command, which crippled completely opponent's will to fight. The Captain has distinguished himself by dealing the killing blow to no less than two enemy high ranked officers. Thus Italian forces have won a strategic victory suffering only minor loses.
At least that's the way it is written in the frogmen annals.

My 50pts. is 5 Ambramses, 2 Cobras and 2 dakka wagons (AKA VADS SPAA). Yankee starter gives me 47 points, so I only need to add VADS.

No need to rush - I literally have nothing to put the tanks together and paint them. Last time I collected any wargame was over 10 years ago P.S. 'murican army list has less flexibility than a block of concrete. At 100 points I have all but two options taken from the list.

Judging from the rules, it looks like Star Wars X-Wing with tanks. Still I would be interested in fielding some Shermans and trying it out.

Awesome! I need to dig into it and think about how to play with that single-resource race. Playing it is really different, than playing other races.
