If anyone interested in playing a bit of X-wing miniatures on Monday can shout here I will try and put a few scenarios together to speed things along.

I'm up for space dogfights. Give me a squadron of Ackbar's Angels and it'll all be over by Life Day.
If you're bringing the star mat, would you object to using it for a G.O.B.S. game? Only if we have time and there's interest. It's something I'd like to try at some point although I suspect X-wing would be engrossing enough for one Monday.

The star mat is a club cloth and is kept in the scenery cupboard, so if you wish to run GOBS on it on another night then as a member it's totally available to you. If you haven't seen what is in that cupboard have a browse...

Now that's information I can use. I shall have a rummage on Monday.
Also, I must ask - is one of the scenarios available "it's a trap"? If not, I have to question this game's authenticity.

I believe 'It's a trap' appears in the capital ship version called Armada.

Hi Tim,
I must offer my apologies - I will be unable to make it tomorrow night after all due to family commitments, but I am still very keen to have a crack at this if you're still up for it next Monday.

OK, one horrible fireball prepared just for you - and X marks the spot.
I am sure we can drum up some others tonight.....

A brief, if accurate, After Action Report of last night's Xwing game.
'One Y-wing got through!'
I thank you....

I'd definitely be up for a rematch. The Y-Wings' survivability allowed them to barrel through in the face of heavy fire, and the A-Wing kept us guessing for much longer than we should have allowed it to. I suspect Imperial command will now try to engage the rebels in a set-piece engagement where flight is impossible!

I have expanded my collection to include four z95 Headhunters, a TIE bomber and a TIE advanced so will put a few more scenarios together
