OK 10th we shall race Baltimore! Prep up some team and driver names - Pick a colour too! Im guessing Green, Blue and White for us three given choices last week

RACE 1 - BALTIMORE
Unseen by the cameras qualifying took place, Archibald Arthurs III producing an almost immaculate lap to take pole. With the two front row drivers choosing to start on soft tyres and the rest on hard the start went well but for a stall by DN Finito of Formula 1C which led him to be swallowed up by the pack heading into the first corner.
For most of the first half-lap bodywork was exchanged and the lead traded between D.Saurus of Formula 1C and Waaaagh’s Mork with the two Underbelly cars forming a protective wave behind them and being used as target practice for the second of the Waaaagh cars driven by Gork. The others, including both Grupo Lego cars decided upon a more sensible approach and watched the unfolding carnage from the rear.
With corners coming thick and fast and wheels being bashed the aggressive racing was sure to fashion a casualty and indeed it did. With Elio DeFrietas’s Underbelly and the Waaaagh car of Mork both trying to limp back to the pits to repair bodywork the Grupo Lego car of Wildstyle decided to viciously - and deliberately - career into both… a risky, but ultimately successful move, taking Elio out of the race mere yards from the safety of the pits.
With all seven remaining cars needing to pit after just half a lap, the racing remained close at the front, the Waaaagh team threatening (literally at times) the lead car of DN Finito while the single remaining Underbelly car breathed oilsmoke in third.
There was relief all around when the seven cars made through the debris and harsh words and onto the second lap. With the soft tyres wearing out and gearboxes down to shards of metal, most cars felt the need to pit on the second lap as well, DN Finito having worked a commanding lead, a whole pit straight ahead of the chasing Mork and AA III. With Mork taking to the pits first, AA III decided to gamble on making it to the finish with what remained of the bodywork and tyres. With Mork failing to make it to the pits first time, it allowed the Underbelly car to sail off into the distance to finish 2nd behind the runaway victor DN Finito who managed to recover superbly from the stall at the start to win.
The battle for the last podium place came down to a back straight race-off between four cars, D. Saurus managing to hit max speed to overtake both Waaaagh cars and Grupo Lego’s Wildstyle before slamming down the gears to make the corner. An attempt to do likewise by Gork in the Waaaagh came a cropper on some debris around the outside of the second-last corner leaving Wildstyle to finish 4th, with Mork close behind in 5th. After that it was left to wait for the final runner, Unikitty trundling home in 6th after a leisurely jaunt behind the rest, the entire race spent chatting and waving to the crowd as if on a victory lap. It was a tactic that worked and noted by the two teams that failed to get both cars to the finish.
After the race special clean-up crews had to be brought in to clean up the oil, metal, sweat and tears with the organisers announcing that they are unsure if they would let such amateurs back onto the circuit again.

Race 2 – Monaco
A new phrase was added to the lexicon on the wet streets of Monaco on Monday: To Mork/Gork it right up. For the second race in a row at the second last corner one of the Waaaagh cars attempted a risky manoeuvre to gain a position – this time the lead – only to spin off the track and have an early bath – quite literally, given the rain – amongst the fans.
It had all started so well for the Waaaagh team with Gork taking pole position in qualifying ahead of both of the MollStall cars and Championship leader DN Finito, with the Underbelly cars locking out the back of the grid, claiming it was on purpose to ensure both made it around an entire lap.
And the MollStall team wasn’t the only stall on the grid as once again DN Finito found no gear instead of first at the start. Having locked out the start most of the first lap was dominated by a battle between the MollStall team, the livery painted yellow this race to try and fool the other teams, and the Waaaagh team with the Formula 1C and Underbelly cars following behind and failing to abide to their plan to stay out of trouble.
Like the first race the close racing on the opening lap made it a war of attrition with bodywork a-plenty left on the pit straight and on the slide out of Ste Devote. Pretty soon a bevy of cars had sustained critical damage and in the slippery conditions failing to stay out of each other’s allowing the MollStall cars and Mork to storm off into the distance through the tunnel.
Reaching the end of the first lap Holly Scarlet of MollStall was leading from her teammate Crimson Ryder as they headed into the pits for full stops to repair damage to their cars. As they did Mork pulled a surprise and successfully fast stopped taking second place. The shock move caught MollStall unaware and they were even more shocked by the decision of DN Finito in the Formula 1C car not to pit at all given that it was being held together with little more than prayers, catapulting him into the lead bunch and third position.
With the rest pitting, the field split into two over the final lap, the MollStall cars leading but closely pursued by the fragile cars of Mork and DN Finito, the latter demonstrating an ability to survive that Bear Grylls would be envious of, enduring an astonishing amount of wheel-to-wheel racing without sustaining the fatal blow. So as the front-runners nursed tyres and bodywork, the second Waaaagh car of Gork broke from the peloton and caught the front four, leaving D Saurus and the woefully underpowered Underbelly cars to bring up the rear.
La Rascasse approached, and Mork, spotting a final opportunity to snatch the win, attempted the corner in third gear… and made it… all the way through to the crash barriers, allowing the MollStall of Holly Scarlet to negotiate the final turn and win.
With Mork’s demise the race for third had become the race for second, the cars running three a-breast around the final corner of Antony Noghes, with the MollStall of Crimson Ryder holding the advantage from DN Finito and the sole remaining Waaaagh. With the MollStall failing to have enough juice to make it, DN Finito was next but fell short too, leaving Gork the opportunity to steal second which he did with a brilliant slipstream of the MollStall to carry him across the finish line.
Behind them, fifth fell easily to Archibald Arthurs III but the battle for sixth came down to the last corner and the fresher tyres of Elio DeFrietas in the second Underbelly outdoing a tip-toeing D. Saurus to leave the Formula 1C car to finish in seventh and add a point to his total and a reminder that as the old adage states: To finish first, first you have to finish… so don’t Gork – or Mork – up the second last corner.
