I dunno. Rats don't seem to be able to play rugby, not very good at pitched battles... maybe we should have some sort of gnawing contest, where you'd stand a chance :-)

Barbarian army is assembled and undercoated. I just have to paint it now...
I'm thinking about an Orc army as well..
Anyone fancy getting one of the other species? Surely dwarves have to be someone's thing....

Ahoy! I'll give the rules a read through tonight.
I'd very much be up for this as I have a great many High Elves who haven't seen action since around 2008. I will have to review the basing system and I may not have an army prepped for a month or so but otherwise this sounds ideal. Would appreciate discussing the ruleset on Monday though!

Basing system is pretty simple; almost everyone is on 25x25mm squares even the gobbos and stunties -- I think the only people who aren't are halflings. For figures which are on 20x20 bases, I talked to Warbases and they can do individual sabots which are 25x25 with a 20x20 dint in the top. I have a ton of downloadables with all the rules, ref sheets and lists at www.fysh.org/~katie/wargames/downloads/fantasy_warriors/

I may scratchbuild sabots myself to fit in with my basing if that's suitable. Thanks for the link!

Ahoy! Sorry for the double post, I'm currently drafting army lists. How many points are we working with for a standard game at present?

Sorry to necro this, but has anyone tried Armies of Arcana out (http://www.battlezone-miniatures.co.uk/shop/product/839)? It looks like they have the same/similar basing as GW. I've largely given up on WHFB as it looks like we're required to pay £100 every year to buyu the latest edition, so it would be good to have a fantasy battle system so I could dust off my fantasy stuff.

Wait!! They want MONEY!!
Warbases have said they can make 20->25mm sabots in bulk for quite cheap (I'm up for ordering several hundred ) and then you can use GW fantasy in FW... wot is FREE.
What fantasy armies need de-dusting?

The High Elves of Himring stand ready! I'm trying out an aeronef ruleset with Chris next week, but thereafter consider the gauntlet cast down. I can put 1000 points on the table immediately, but I can swell the ranks to 2000pts at relatively short notice.

Ahh, a trip to the salad bar for my verminous horde. Might go better than against those walking sardine tins of Katie's.
Have we got enough for a four way conflagration?
