That looks like a good worm to use. I was going to 'borrow' one of the monsters out of my 'Mansions of Madness'
Two Rat armies in the field, that won't end in civil war !

A campaign, I'm up for that.
Just bought an other 20 rat slaves to make up some more cannon fodder.

Priests -- yes, but in a way, the saving up for a big prayer is kind of the payback for not doing little interventions the whole way through. I guess that makes sense. Rather reminds me of the solar eclipse which occurred during the battle of Isandlwana. And having consulted the Silmarillion, it looks like it would be totally inappropriate to add a priest to a Noldorin army. Ah well. OK, so there is some interest for a campaign and reading through the old Mighty Empires, which I have never before done, it's a decently intuitive way of generating a map. There are a few unique-to-Warhammer bells and whistles (equinox magic, independent empires and the whole espionage system seem like busy work when we basically want to play FW against each other) but I can do a couple of sketches and we can talk it through next Monday? I have always wanted to do a map campaign so I would be prepared to to a good deal of organisational work if people fancy it.

OK, I've added "praying" tokens to sheet 2.
Hurray! I've painted the leather bits of the barbarian fighters. Archers next.
"seem like busy work"
Are you kidding? That's one of the brilliant bits of ME -- all the fiddly complicated stuff[1], politics and crops and building bridges and finding necropoliseseses. I've uploaded copies of the extra rules and the map tiles.
I'm wondering how the army sizes will translate. 3000pt is a normal size for a WH army, but it's quite a lot of figures in FW.
[1] I've always wanted to write a web game with all that sort of stuff in it but every time I started I got sidetracked by things.

Well, we know we can all manage 1000pts so that could be the standard garrison or expeditionary force, with 2000 points reserved for open warfare and 3K for the kind of climactic battle that sees the end of empires.

Especially useful if we're looking to hammer together more points from disparate contingents!
So campaign-wise, we're looking at:
Major realms:
Ratmen (Chris) Men-at-arms (War of the Roses) Men-at-arms (Lannister) Men-at-arms (Stark) Barbarians High Elves Ratmen (Katie)
Minor/hidden/isolationist realms: Ratmen Wood Elves Dark Elves Undead
Anyone else? I don't have a full FW army of House Stark finished yet but they are in production and I'd like to have them in with the Elves as an allied contingent at some point.
EDIT: Updated with Katie's numberless legions...
EDIT II: Updated with Katie's limitless, terrible, ever-growing horde.
EDIT III: Updated with non-expansionist realms (players who want to join in but don't fancy the campaign scene).

Barbarians. A second men-at-arms army. I need to do some stripping & rebasing to get 1000-1500 of wood elves.
Quite like to do some orcs as well...

Humans. Breeding and spreading like vermin.
Hold on !Thats my job.
Not quite sure what you would pay mercenary giant spiders with, but I don't think being taken prisoner would be a happy prospect.

On the subject of rats breeding, the largest non-GW range is at Black Tree and they seem to have finally sorted themselves out. After a decade as the lousiest service company in the minis business, they seem to have sorted it. Both recent orders from them have Just Worked. Note that search doesn't find their proper website, but the old one.
Basically they make all the figures for WH3ed armies which includes things that aren't in FW, but they also do a lot of regular ratty figures. They run promos where they end up being about a quid a fig.
I don't think you pay mercenary giant spiders. You pay the shamen who enslave them...

One thing I would like to work into a campaign is recruiting weird & wonderful special units from far-flung locations. Night-gaunts, land sharks, gelatinous cubes etc. I'm sure we could come up with some reasonable rules for them if we put our minds to it.

Have you not seen all the things on the list of things already?
Although, I haven't found the rules for Hydra yet...

I swear I've seen rules for it somewhere in your download section, but a big land-based dragon would be a decent proxy until it turns up.
Indeed I have seen the list of things... but no gelatinous cube.

Just some campaign ideas :
Experience for units and individuals that are successful over a couple of battle (& survive). Maybe reduce the upgrade cost. Should be rare and not over powerful but adds continuity.
Battles in caverns (Dwarf mine/rat warren) I saw it done once at a Games day show & it looked rather good.
